Contract Vehicles
ReliaTrust Technologies Inc. (RTI) offers a full range of Information Technology (IT) services under several contracting vehicles. At RTI we understand that our customers need a faster way of doing business, decreased procurement lead time and paper work, and reduced administration costs. U.S. federal government agencies and local agencies can purchase services offered by RTI through a wide array of government wide acquisition contracts (GWACs) and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicles described below. 8(a) Sole Source
ReliaTrust Technologies received 8(a) certification in 2004. For past seven years, we have successfully executed and continue to work under this contracting vehicle for various federal agencies. One key benefit of the 8(a) program is the opportunity to receive “sole source” contracts (not exceeding $3.5M for services and $5.5 for manufacturing). As a certified 8(a) firm we are also eligible to bid on “set aside” contracts with other participants in the 8(a) program.
8(a) - The Program was created in 1974 to help minority and other small disadvantaged businesses (SDBs) to grow through a program of federal contracting preferences and set-asides. Through the 8(a) Program, eligible firms can be awarded government contracts on a sole-source, non-competitive basis.
Sole Source - A procurement where only one source is practicably available for the goods or services required. Competition is not available in sole source procurement, thus distinguishing it from a proprietary procurement where the product is restricted to that of one manufacturer, but is sold through distributors and competition between them can be obtained.
Small Business - The SBA's Small Business Size Regulations define what constitutes a small business in accordance with the Small Business Act. The definition varies from industry to industry to reflect industry differences, but is matched to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).
